Registered Psychotherapist

I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complex landscape of trauma, particularly those whose experiences stem from early childhood. I understand that complex trauma can permeate multiple facets of life, often disguised as various mental and physical health challenges. I strive to create a compassionate and safe environment where clients can explore their experiences, understand their effects, and work towards healing.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles and tailored to each client’s unique journey. I aim to empower clients by providing the tools and support they need to reclaim their narrative and foster resilience. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and am committed to walking alongside my clients as they embark on their healing journey.

My journey to becoming a psychotherapist was anything but straightforward. Throughout my twenties, I struggled with anxiety and depression. Feeling completely overwhelmed, hopeless, and in immense psychological pain, I turned to substances and extreme measures to cope.

Finally, in my early thirties, the suffering became too much to bear, and I saught help. With the support of various mental health professionals, my pain gradually eased, and I found peace and tranquillity. This journey of self-discovery inspired me to return to school to become a psychotherapist. I have dedicated my life to supporting others navigating similar paths to the one I travelled years ago.

While I do not fondly look back on my years of suffering, I am grateful to have experienced them. Those difficult times allow me to empathize with clients who express feelings of hopelessness and unbearable pain; I don’t have to imagine what that experience is like—I remember it all too well. My past has shown me the healing power of therapy. While I once felt hopeless on my own, I discovered that with support, healing is achievable.

The therapeutic relationship is built on openness and trust. Please reach out and ask any questions you may have.
